National Folk Festival
9 April - 13 April
Australia’s home and heart of folk for over 50 years, the National Folk Festival is the ultimate celebration of all things folk from its A-list of performers from Australia and the world to activities celebrating folk life through grassroots and community.
Held annually over the Easter long weekend at Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) its vibrant festival site and diverse programming offers a wide range of engagement for attendees including music, dance, circus, spoken word, workshops, community arts and family oriented activities.
The National is a place to meet, a major get-together that encourages exchange between artists and audiences at all levels of engagement. The quality and variety of the Festival’s world-class program ensures entertainment to suit every age and taste. Its 18 stages provide over 900 hours of high quality entertainment and will leave you with live music experiences of the kind that you will take with you long after the bands have left the stage.
